about the salon
Traditionally an exhibition of works of art by living artists, our Salon is an opportunity for photographers to showcase single images, enabling them to build an audience and dialogue around their work. Photographers are expected to submit a single image on the theme.
THEME
Food
Food in art can be a celebration of culinary joys, an exploration of society and culture, and, of course, a fascinating aesthetic exploration. Whether mass-produced or home-cooked, an elaborate restaurant affair or a meal-for-one over the kitchen sink, food means more than just sustenance.
For this Salon exhibition, we seek photographs that incorporate themes of food as a subject in itself, or as a key element of the image. We are particularly interested in exploring the experience of food in people’s daily lives.

Photos from eligible submissions will be selected for a group exhibition and displayed on ThePassporte.com, and highlighted through social media to our over ten thousand viewers.

All decisions by the Passporte Gallery and the jurors are final.
Submission Entry Fee
Submissions for the Salon are free.
What to Submit
You may submit one image for the theme. Photographs must be in a JPEG format. Previously published material for which nonexclusive rights were granted may be submitted as long as you still maintain the rights (see "Image rights" below). You must be able to disclose when and where the photo appeared previously to The Passporte Gallery upon request.
All submitted photographs must be your own, and you are responsible for obtaining any necessary releases if applicable.
Photos that contain sexually explicit, obscene, violent or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by The Passporte Gallery at its sole discretion, are ineligible for consideration for this call for entry.
How to Submit
All images are securely submitted online via Submittable, including all required fields, including name, contact information and other information about your submission. Only submissions via the Submittable page will be accepted. Please do not email images directly to The Passporte Gallery.
Images must be 72 dpi JPEG's between 1500 and 2000 pixels on the largest side. Image names must be of the format FirstName_LastName.jpg. To submit, create a free account or login to your existing account.
Eligibility
Open to photographers 18 years or older globally, amateur and professional, working in any photographic medium or style.
Image Rights
If you submit a photograph to a Passporte Gallery call for entry, you will retain all rights to any photograph you submit. If you submit a photograph to The Passporte Gallery, you grant The Passporte Gallery royalty-free, nonexclusive rights to publicly display the images on our website and social media platforms.
